“For all the people of our generation, Carlo Casini is an example of commitment: he was a master and a witness to the faith”. Vincenzo Bassi, chair of the Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe (FAFCE), recalls the founder of the Pro-Life Movement and his dedication in Europe first as a MEP and then as a promoter – among other things – of the “One of Us” campaign for the protection of unborn life. According to Mr Bassi, Mr Casini “was a Christian who was not afraid to bear witness to the truth at a time of social change. His courage, coupled with his professional preparation and human credibility, is a legacy to all of us that we, as committed Catholics, are responsible to promote”.
