Belgium: Brussels, centre for mediation and peace in Ukraine opened. Meetings at Foyer Catholique

“Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have opened the centre for mediation and peace in Ukraine. The operators will be with us in Brussels from 11 to 15 May”. This is according to a statement from the Italian Community in Brussels that meets at the Foyer Catholique. This is a solidarity, cultural and educational initiative that will have two public events, on Sunday 12 and Monday 13 May. On Sunday, a workshop will be held at rue du Cornet 51, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on the theme: “Empathic listening: the restorative circle”. On Monday, 13 May, there will be a workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon on “Victim-offender mediation according to the humanistic model (role play). From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be an artistic workshop on “Forgiveness as a masterpiece of justice”. The work will be opened by Fr Claudio Visconti, head of the Italian community in Brussels. Speakers will include Filippo Vanoncini (discussant) and Tiziana Buffagni (artistic workshop). Among the attendees will be the heads of the Mediation Centre University of Chernivtsi – Ukraine. The events in Brussels will also provide opportunities for socialisation and sharing.
