The Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe (FAFCE) is holding a conference on “Protecting children from online threats”. The aim of the event, according to the organisers, is to highlight “the urgent need to protect children from the harmful effects of online pornography”. According to the FAFCE, there is also a need to create a space “to exchange with experts and civil society and to discuss concrete actions that must be taken at the European level for a better protection of minors from digital threats”. The event, hosted by MEP Matej Tonin (Slovenia), who will open the session, will be attended by adolescent psychiatrist Mar Alvarez Segura (Barcelona); French sexologist Anne-Sixtine Perardel; Tana Rehakova from the Czech Republic, who will discuss data on pornography consumption among teenagers; and by French lawyer Priscille Kulczyk. The moderator will be Benjamin Tomazic (FAFCE). The event will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, in the late afternoon of Tuesday, 23 September. To participate, click here.
