Germany: German young people get ready to participate in their Jubilee. Mgr Wübbe (DBK): “important ambassadors of the Gospel”

Many groups from Germany have already registered for the Jubilee of Youth that will take place from 28 July to 3 August. Registration is still possible until 31 March. Information on packages for pilgrims, including accommodation, meals and various details of the programme, is available on the website of the Youth Pastoral Office of the German Bishops’ Conference at jugendpastoral.de/jubilaeum-der-jugend. The packages for German-speaking pilgrims are updated regularly. The German Bishops’ Conference (DBK) will also participate in the Jubilee of Youth: the President of the DBK Commission for Youth Ministry and Auxiliary Bishop of Osnabrück, Mgr Johannes Wübbe, will be travelling to Rome with an official delegation of young people from all German dioceses, and will celebrate a Mass in German. Mgr Wübbe invites young people to travel to Rome in the Holy Year 2025: “The Jubilee of Youth in the Holy Year highlights how important young people are as ambassadors of the Gospel. At the same time, the pilgrimage to Rome also offers the opportunity to find new strength and motivation for one’s faith through international encounters with other young people”. Many young people from Germany will also be travelling to Rome during their autumn holidays as part of diocesan pilgrimages. For this reason, a permanent German youth ministry programme will be active in Rome even after the Jubilee of Youth.
