The 43rd National Meeting of Delegates for the Pastoral Care of Family and Life will take place on Saturday, 8 November. It is organised by the Sub-Commission for the Family and the Defence of Life of the Spanish Bishops’ Conference (CEE). The theme for the 2025 edition of the meeting will be “Family pastoral care in the face of the challenge of pornography”. According to the CEE website, the day will offer a space for formation, reflection and dialogue to the diocesan delegates for family and life, “with the goal to pastorally address a phenomenon that is deeply affecting families, young people, and affective education today”. According to the meeting’s agenda, the keynote address will be delivered by Jorge Gutiérrez Berlinches, an expert in affective and sexual education, who will discuss the theme of “Family pastoral care in the face of the challenge of pornography”. The afternoon session will be devoted to the communications of the Episcopal Sub-Commission, which will present the main projects and work currently being undertaken. This will be followed by a series of contributions from various diocesan delegates, who will share experiences, needs and proposals from their respective dioceses. The purpose of the day – as stated on the website of the Spanish bishops – is to offer “an understanding of pastoral actions that may help diocesan delegates to address the problem of pornography from an integral and hope-filled Christian perspective”.
