(Brussels) A ban on the use of disposable plastics, the EU budget for 2019, a debate on the future of Europe (with Rumanian president Klaus Iohannis’s giving a speech to the floor): these are some of the items on the agenda of the plenary session of the European Parliament, taking place in Strasbourg next week, from Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th October. Another focus will be called “Rise in neo-fascist violence in Europe”. “The MEPs – a notice from the European Parliament states – are worried about the rise in hate and intolerance events all over Europe and ask the EU to respond to such rising neo-fascist violence”. A non-legislative resolution will be voted on by the floor on 25th October.
