The theme of the International Pilgrimage to Fatima on 12 and 13 October will be “Mary, Star of Evangelisation”, and will be presided over by the bishop of the diocese of Leiria-Fatima, Msgr. António Marto. In the document introducing the event, the communication service of the Sanctuary pointed out: “The pilgrimage will symbolically underline the end of the centenary celebrations of the apparitions to the young shepherds”. In particular, the celebration programme includes the multimedia video showing: “Fatima – Time of Light”, and the concert in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, by the orchestra and choir of the Gulbenkian Foundation, directed by Joana Carneiro.
