World Youth Day of Cracow, family problems and the phenomenon of migration will be the main items on the agenda at the 373rd plenary meeting of the Polish Bishops Conference, due in Warsaw on 7th and 8th June. In addition, the bishops will decide a few details of the great pilgrimage to Rome in October as part of the celebrations for the 1050th anniversary of the Christianisation of Poland. The problem of refugees will be addressed by the President of the Migration and Tourism Council of the Polish Bishops Conference, monsignor Krzysztof Zadarko. The current state of refugees will be talked about by the President of Caritas Poland, don Marian Subocz, who will also describe the different forms of aids and support provided to Middle Eastern populations. The prelates will focus their attention on the problems of civil unions in the light of Pope Francis’s exhortation “Amoris laetitia”. A long-term family pastoral plan should also be adopted, its draft prepared by the Council concerned. The next plenary meeting will then be the last one for the Apostolic Nuncio to Poland, monsignor Celestino Migliore, appointed Papal nuncio to Moscow.
