EU PARLIAMENT: TARABELLA’S REPORT PASSED. ABORTION, ONE OF WOMEN’S "RIGHTS"

(Sir Europe – Strasbourg) – "Policies must be changed to achieve gender equality between men and women": this is the message that comes from the European Parliament, as it passed a resolution showing that the areas in which the gender gap is widest include the wage gap, career opportunities, financial independence, work/family life balance and parental leave. One of the problems that are most deeply felt is still that of abuse, especially domestic abuse. The report drawn up by MEP Marc Tarabella, in the section about sexual rights and reproductive health, lingers however on the "right to abortion" and easy access to contraception. The Strasbourg plenary session cast 441 votes for, 205 against and 52 abstentions.” “
