SPAIN: A FOOTBALL MATCH TO RAISE FUNDS FOR A PARISH CHURCH

Today, in the diocese of Cartagena, Spain, to celebrate the Day of St James the Apostle, the football pitch of Juan Cayuela in Totana will host the I Tournament of St Anthony of Padua, organised to raise funds for the renovation of the parish estate of Almendricos (Lorca). Contenders include Ucam Cf, a B-series team, and Ud Almería, a first-division team. The match will be played tonight at 8.30 pm. Tickets cost 6 euros. During the break, there will be a draw, with prizes such as the team players’ jerseys, two tickets for the Almería-Real Madrid match and two tickets for the Almeria-Barcelona match, which are much sought after by Spanish football fans. The Tournament will be broadcast live by Murcia’s Popular Tv Región.
