(Sir Europe – Bratislava) Hundreds of young people from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine are going to meet in Nitra, Slovakia, this weekend, to "create an atmosphere of prayer and encouragement in faith", in the light of the words "You are a letter from Christ" (2 Cor 3:3). The 19th edition of the meeting bearing the title "He is alive" will start on 31 January with a Eucharistic celebration, followed by a concert of Mária Mladosievièová and the group God Knows. The program for Saturday will be filled with adoration, holy mass, discussions on topics like the sense of marriage, the role of a man in the Church, Christians in Europe, and the testimonies about the influence of God in the lives of young people. Several priests will be available for a private talk about the issues of vocation for life. The event is organized by the Emanuel Community and, according to its representatives, its main aim is to" encourage young people in faith, offer an opportunity to experience God’s mercy in the spirit of the community and find new friendships".
