"Meetings between the parties will go in in the summer too, and no one will be left out, because there are no effective results yet to implement the Brussels agreement". This has been stated by the High Representative of the European Union for Security and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Ashton, during her visit to Belgrade and Pristina. During her meetings, Ashton praised the Serbian leadership for the work and efforts it has made so far. "The main aspect now is that the agreement should be implemented", the European representative said. "I was really glad to learn that Serbia is busy getting ready to open the negotiations to join the EU, even if it will take time". The European Commission "is already working at the negotiation framework, which will be our task for the next talks", explained Ashton, who proudly told: "Wherever I go in the world, people speak of this country and the direction it is taking towards Europe, not least to try to get its relations with Pristina back to normal". The Commissioner was echoed by Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, who confirmed "substantial progress in talks" and wished "new results may be achieved in the next few days".
