INTER-RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE: A CENTRE IN VIENNA. CARD. TAURAN’S CALL TO RELIGIOUS FREEDOM (2)

Three – the cardinal added – are the attitudes believers have to have if they want to work in dialogue and support "all that promotes the human being in its material, moral and religious aspirations": "respecting other people in their specificity"; "mutual objective knowledge of everyone’s religious traditions, especially through education", and "mutual support for our pilgrimage towards the Truth to be accomplished in freedom and peace of mind". The cardinal gave the participants in the unveiling ceremony "the greetings of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI as well as his most fervent wishes for the success of this Centre for Dialogue". And he concluded: "I would like to reassure you about the support of the Catholic Church".
