The Council of Christian Churches in France (CECEF), founded in 1987, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on 13 December. On that occasion, the leaders of Churches in France will send a message to Christian communities to promote ecumenical reconciliation and the commitment to working "at the local level on some priority issues". The Council of the Christian Churches in France brings together the representatives of ecclesial families (Anglican, Armenian, Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant). "It is a place of mutual listening – a statement from the CECEF reads – where you can keep up to date with the events that mark the life of Churches. It is a place of initiative that provides the opportunity to promote ecumenical events. It is a place of dialogue and exchange on social issues which offers the chance to express a common position". Two prizes will be awarded for the 25th anniversary: the first will be awarded by the CECEF to a student and is aimed at promoting academic research on social sciences or theology with regard to ecumenical questions. Moreover, to enhance community prayer among Christians and to widen the repertoire of songs on Christian unity, the CECEF has launched a contest. The award ceremony for the winning song will take place on 13 December. ” ” ” “
