A meeting in November about "Family as the subject of evangelisation", a "guidebook" on preparation to marriage that will be ready by 2012, the "Family, an asset for society" project: these are some of the preliminary steps the Papal Council for the Family is working at in the run-up to the VII World Family Meeting which will take place in Milan from 30 May to 3 June 2012. It was discussed today in the Newsroom of the Holy See by card. Ennio Antonelli, president of such Papal Council, during the press conference for the presentation of the schedule of the event. There were also the secretary, mgr. Jean Lafitte, the undersecretary, mgr. Carlos Simon Vazquez, the auxiliary bishop of Milan, mgr. Erminio De Scalzi, cardinal Tettamanzi’s delegate for the organisation of the event, and father Davide Milani, in charge of Social Communication for Milan’s diocese. "The theme of Milan’s World Meeting – card. Antonelli recalled , ‘The family: work and feast’, if seriously explored both personally and socially, culturally and pastorally, may become a major contribution to the defence and promotion of the real human in today’s world". The cardinal mentioned that the Pope will be present at the two closing events of the world meeting, with lots of people expected to come, especially for the Pope’s Mass on Sunday 3 June 2012.
