"After the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty and the decision of the German Constitutional Court: What future for European integration?": this is the main topic of the Autumn Plenary Meeting of Comece (Commission of European Bishops Conferences), due to take place in Brussels from 18th to 20th November. The meeting will begin in the afternoon of 18th; in the evening, the bishops will attend the yearly reception of the Katholisches Büro and EKD (German Lutheran Church). A speech will be given by Rev. Joachim Wanke, bishop of Erfurt. On the next day, three reports will be presented. Firstly, "The perspective of the German Constitutional Court", by Frank Schorkopf, director of the International and European Law Institute (University of Göttingen). It will be followed by "The perspective of the European Parliament" illustrated by Piotr Nowina-Konopka, director of relations with national parliaments (Secretariat of the European Parliament). Finally, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, judge of the European Court of Justice (ECJ), will speak of "The perspective of the European Court of Justice". The meeting will be held behind closed doors. On Friday, November 20th, at 2 pm, a press conference will be held in the premises of Comece (square de Meeûs 19).
