AC: ISTITUTO TONIOLO, "GRADUATION THESIS IN INTERNATIONAL PEACE LAW" AWARD

Fondazione "Istituto di Diritto internazionale della pace Giuseppe Toniolo" of the Italian Azione Cattolica launched the 2007-2008 "Degree Thesis in International Peace Law" award. The initiative, explain the promoters, aims at "boosting legal, socio-political and economic research on issues that are relevant to the promotion of peace" and "is one of the Institute’s objectives, to increase the contribution of international law to issues and situations that are relevant to the promotion of peace – in the light of the lessons of the Social Doctrine of the Church –, in particular through an interaction with Italian and foreign universities and other, similar bodies and institutions". To enter the competition, the theses, which must be on a major subject, must deal with some international law matter that is relevant to peace and must have been discussed at an Italian or Papal University during the academic years 2006/2007 and 2007/2008.
