BAMBINO GESÙ HOSPITAL: TODAY EUROPEAN REPORT ON MOTHER-CHILD HEALTH

"Discussing the long and medium term strategies in health politics as well as identifying useful elements for governments to take action and solve the toughest problems." These are the goals of the European report on mother-child health that is going to be presented in all European countries. For Italy, the presentation will take place in Rome at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital (11 a.m.)which is coordinating the initiative with ISTAT at national level. The survey, which is coordinated at international level by Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale of Paris (France), includes the results of four other important projects financed by the European Commission: Europeristat, which developed indicators of perinatal health; Euroneostat, on premature children treated in neonatal intensive care; Eurocat and Scpe, which are monitoring congenital anomalies and cerebral palsy in Europe. 26 countries have been studied according to four main areas: fetal-neonatal health; mother health; population characteristics and risk factors; health services. ” ” ” ” ” ” ” “
