HUNGARY: XXX YOUTH MEETING AND SPIRITUAL RETREAT IN EGERSZALÓK
(Sir Europe - Bratislava) - “Jesus Christ lives in me” is the motto of the XXX Youth Meeting due to take place on 18-22 July in Egerszalók, Hungary. Participants in the event in the form of a spiritual retreat will focus on topics related to the new evangelization and the forthcoming Year of Faith declared by Pope Benedict XVI. Organizers invite young people to embrace the possibility of inner transformation to become witnesses with “renewed hearts and tongues”, able to announce the message of joy “plausibly”. The program will include lectures regarding Church life, discussions, workshops, concerts, theatre, film and dance performances, along with the traditional “speech on the lake” where Lajos Kerényi, leader of the spiritual retreat, will celebrate holy mass on a boat close to the bank of the local reservoir. Among the guests there will be Mons. Czaba Ternyák, bishop of Eger; Norbert Roussel, member of Chemin Neuf community; and Mons. Ferenc Palánki, president of the Youth Commission of the Hungarian Bishops’ Conference.
