Among other things, the pilgrimage includes stages in Antakya (Antakiye), the “headquarters” of the whole three expeditions of Apostle Paul; in Seleucia, at the ruins of the old port, visited by Paul in his first expedition in the spring of 43 BC; and in Tarso, his native town. In the afternoon of 7th March, the presidents of the Bishops' Conferences will be received by His Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, and will take part in the celebration of the Orthodox vespers. Eight Bishops' Conferences represented: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldavia, Romania, the International Bishops' Conference of Saints Cyril and Methodius, and Turkey. Apart from the CCEE president, Card. Josip Bozaniæ (vice president) and the permanent observer of the Holy See at the Council of Europe, Msgr. Aldo Giordano, will also take part in the meeting.
